Falling for it All

A new goodie from Allison Pennington- and I am so so digging it! I've always been an avid collector of old costume jewelry- especially those lovely victorian pieces, and I feel like I totally got a treasure trove with this kit. It's HUGE! Tons of papers and elements- and all of them just gorgeous. It's technically a pretty fall kit- and there are some pretty fall elements in there, but honestly it's more versatile than that. I actually wound up using none of the fall pieces as you'll see below- but the more I use it, the more I'm sure I'll be using those gorgeous little leaves and pine cones :) You can grab Falling for it All at Polka Dot Plum today on sale! Also- if you buy the kit, you get the gorgeous alpha free- you don't need much more incentive than that, do you? :) Enjoy!

Cutting back again!

Just a note to let you all know that I am stepping down from Faith True's CT. I just don't have the time to keep up with all the extra goodies plus designing, sooo... it's a sad day but it's been a good run. I've had fun working with her though, and thought I'd give you a review of some of my personal favorite LO's I did for her. :)

Bye bye True Team- best of luck in all your scrapventures!

I'm Twisted

I so love it when 2 teams I create for do a collab together- it saves me time *wink*. But seriously- this turned out SO cool! Allison Pennington and Lauren and Amy from Polka Dot Plum Designs released this yesterday! I love that it's not one of the cutesy Halloween kits (not that I don't enjoy those) but this one would be awesome for scrapping a horror movie night, or a haunted house, or anything fun scary! As you can see below, it's totally capable of being scrapped into something cute (as it doesn't get much cuter than WeeKat) but this kit is just totally rockin'!

You can grab Twisted at Polkadotplum!! Give in to the evil temptation... lol

My Little Goldfish- Michelle Batton

Okay, seriously- how cute is this kit! I'm so digging all the lovely blue papers (as is obvious from the amount I used in my layout LOL- this is a great beach kit too, I'm already scrapping some of our beach pictures with this! You can grab it over at The Digichick!

Sew Eclectic

More goodies from the fabulous Allison Pennington. I thought this kit was so original and fun- and I really love the colors she used. Not something I'd have thought to put together, but it works so well! This is a really fun kit, go check it out. And scroll down and see what I did with it :) You can buy this (and Allison's other creative goodies) at Polka Dot Plum!

Desire from Suzy Q Scraps

More goodies from Suzy Q :o) Always a happy thing! Today it was decided in our house that I'll be skipping the idea of nursing school, and get my degree in the much less practical Graphic Design- it's less practical but it'll make me so much happier. So I'll be taking a class here and there, and eventually go back full time when I'm not juggling baby stuff :) I made this LO today with that in mind :)

Nature Walk

Another designer I get to work with this month at Polka Dot Plum is Suzy Q Scraps- it was actually really hard for me to find a kit of hers that I hadn't worked with yet! Most of the work I did before the store opened was with Suzy's stuff- guess that means I like it :) My love for a designer is directly proportional to the amount of space each designer takes up on my hard drive :) I saw this kit and had to have it- Nature Walk.

Aaaaanyway, you can grab this fabulous kit over at Polka Dot Plum! Do it, you know you want to :)

Six o Clock Wedding by Jennifer Fox

Journaling:
I will never forget this day...
we were supposed to have a beautiful candlelit evening wedding outside overlooking the lake... instead, we got thunderstorms, the wrong flowers, and everything went wrong!
What we got then was a beautiful imperfect indoor wedding, where we couldn’t stop kissing each other and laughing all the way through the ceremony..
It was the most perfect imperfect wedding I could have ever asked for!

My Little Garden by Jennifer Fox

This month at PDP one of my assigned designers is Jennifer Fox (yay!) and if you can't tell that I like her designs, just check out the blog- I made it with her Vintage Chic kit :) This month one of the kits I get to work with is My Little Garden- and true to form- it's awesome :) Go on down to Polka Dot Plum and check it out!

I had to scrap the pictures of Kat 'helping' me in my garden- this really meant that she was eating leaves off the peppermint and moving all my seashells around, but she was certainly having fun!

Geek News- October

So a few pieces of news in Geek Land-

Michelle Batton has graciously let me stick around after my guest spot this month as a member of her Full Time CT- the girls over there are so fun, and Michelle is just a blast- the fact that her designs are tre cool is just an added bonus, I definitely am jazzed to be sticking around!

My stint as a guest CT for Amanda Carlson is over, and I want to thank her for having me for the month! Her stuff is so very fun, and I really enjoyed getting to work with it!

In October I'll be guesting with Brandy Designs (who I'll be doing a collab kit with sometime in the nearish future), The Design Girl, and Totally Twisted Scraps.

On a personal note- we are in the process of buying our first home (yay!) but that also means that I'll have less time to keep up with everything around here for a little while, we don't have an exact move date yet, but I'll likely go for a few days without internet access once the loan closes and the actual moving and packing process begins. I'm going to keep up with my commitment of a freebie every Tuesday, hopefully I won't miss one, but if I do, I'll be sure to make it up to you!

Also- I'm also joining Allison Pennington Designs CT- here are a few LO's I did with her fantabulous goodies, and if you haven't checked her out yet, you're going to want to! Just check out some of this awesome stuff!

This LO was done with Allison's 'Tweet' kit- I just love how soft and pretty this turned out!

(The ellies from this LO are actually from one of Amy Sumrall's retired kits 'Today and Everyday' the cool argyle paper is from Allison Pennington)

And here are just a few previews of Allison's awesome stuff for sale over at Polka Dot Plum!

New release from Amy Sumrall!

This is one great example of why I love Amy Sumrall's stuff- a Mac and Cheese kit? Really? Awesome! It's actually a kit about love, so I had to create this:

Mac n' Cheese is being released today at The Lilypad- so go grab it up and make your own cheesy goodness with it!! :)

My new favorite kit!

Last week I got an awesome invitation from Amy and Lauren from Polka Dot Plum Designs (as differs from the store- they own the store Polka Dot Plum- which uses their name- but they still design as Polka Dot Plum Designs, confusing but true!) to be on their Creative Team! I had a blast getting to goof off with them and the rest of the PDP designers Opening Week, and of course I had to say yes to that invitation! Luckily for me, it's a very laid back creative team (which as my creative team roster fills up yet again after I just pared it down- is a good thing! LOL) I just seem to keep getting offers I can't refuse!)

So I got to work with Sweet Little Claire- and I love this kit so SO much! It's absolutely my new favorite kit, most especially for my personal scrapbook pictures (as opposed to things I create solely for CT work- I tend to not show off too many of our very personal page) I had to share this one I did today though- Kat feeding the ducks at the park where her Grandpa is a policeman :) She had so much fun, and I had so much fun scrapping this and playing with this awesome kit that I just had to share! 2 of my favorite recent LO's are from this kit- if you're smart, you'll grab it and play with it too!

September Days Revamped

Michelle Batton has revamped her September Days kit, and it's on sale over at The Digichick right now :) I got to scrap some pictures of my first fall in Michigan with it- with the snow over the colored leaves (crazy weather LOL) and I'm loving the LO that happened. I just wish I'd have found a way to use that awesome alpha- it's so cool! I guess that's just call for me to do another LO- I also used her Inked Edges as well. And if you skedaddle over to her blog there's a freebie there waiting for you from Michelle!

Butterfly Dreams

Michelle Batton just released Butterfly Dreams at The Digichick- it's so beautiful and dreamy :) I rarely do fantasy type extraction LO's but the gorgeous papers and adorable elements were just calling for it. I had to show off the kit and the LO because I liked both so very much! Check her out! You can grab the whole collection and save money- the papers, elements, the alpha, and the CU friendly glitter styles for $7.70, of course you could buy just the pieces you like- but I always enjoy the collections--- I feel like I get so much more to play with!
